  1. How long does the course take?
    If you are taking CPR/defibrillator training, expect the course to last approximately 2 hours.If you are taking the first aid course as well, you should plan on being with us for 4 hours.

  2. What certification will I receive?
    Everyone who attends the CPR course will receive an American Heart Association “Healthcare Provider” certification in CPR for adults, infants, and pediatrics. If you attend the first aid course, you will receive an American Heart Association “Heartsaver First Aid” certification.Both of these certifications are valid for TWO YEARS.

  3. Will I receive my certification card the day of the course?
    No.At course completion, you will receive a certification letter from Northeast CPR, stating that you attended and passed an American Heart Association approved course, and that your card is on order from the AHA.You will receive your actual AHA certification card in the mail approximately 14 days after you take the course.

  4. I want to sign up multiple people using Google Checkout – how do I do this?
    You can sign up multiple people for the same class, but you must register each one individually.Sign up multiple times via Google Checkout in your name, and then please send an email to contact@northeastcpr.com and let us know the names of the people who will be attending the course.An easier way to register multiple people would be to call us at 1-800-490-9622 and register over the phone.

  5. I signed up for a course and have a schedule conflict, what is your policy?
    You can switch your class date at any time by sending an email to contact@northeastcpr.com or by calling us, there is no charge to change class date.You can cancel your registration as well, but be aware that there is a $20 cancellation charge per person.

  6. I took your course a few months ago and I lost my card, can I get a replacement?
    Yes.We can issue replacement cards.To request one, please call 1-800-490-9622.There is a $10 fee for lost card replacement.We will need your credit card information before we order your replacement card.

  7. I would like to have you send an instructor out to teach a group of us.What are your policies?
    We send instructors all over New York and New England to teach CPR and first aid courses.We can generally accommodate most time/date requests.There is a minimum class charge of $600 to have an instructor come to your location (a group of 10 for CPR training, or a group of 6 for CPR/first aid training).We offer group discounts for larger groups, please call us at 1-800-490-9622 to discuss your group needs.

  9. I just want to take the first aid course, how can I register for that?
    You have 2 options to take only the first aid course.You can either sign up for the CPR course online via Google Checkout, and then send us an email at contact@northeastcpr.com letting us know that you will be taking the first aid, not the CPR course.Or, you can call us at 1-800-490-9622 to register over the phone.

  10. I am signed up to take only the first aid course, what time should I arrive?
    If you are taking the course in either Danvers, Braintree, or Brighton, please arrive by 1:45pm.If you are taking the course in Manhattan, please arrive by 7:45pm.

  11. Do I have to register in advance or can I just show up?
    You must register in advance for our weekend courses.Due to space limitations, we require attendees to reserve a spot in the class with a credit card.We accept all major credit cards, and you can register via our website or by calling us at 1-800-490-9622.

  12. What do I need to bring with me to the class?
    Nothing.We will provide everything for you onsite.

  13. I am nervous to give my credit card info out, how do I know you are reputable?
    We have been in business since 2004, and have trained over 7,000 people, including many large corporations.Our customer approval rating is 99.1%, and is our top priority.If you call us, expect to speak with a live person immediately.If you happen to reach a voicemail, expect a call back within an hour during normal business hours.

  14. How do I get to your location using public transportation?
    BRIGHTON: take the #57 bus from Kenmore Square, and get off right in front of the Beacon Hill Athletic Club at 470 Washington St, Brighton. NEW YORK CITY: take the #1 or the B or the C subway to 86th street station, and walk over to Columbus Ave between 89th and 90th.
  15. What should I do if I am running late for a class?
    If at all possible, call us BEFORE the class begins at 1-800-490-9622 to let us know you are late, and when you expect to arrive.If you call after the class has begun and do not get an answer, you may come to the class up to 20 minutes late.Past that time, we ask that you come back for a different class, as you will have missed too much material.
