Frequently Asked Questions

How long does the course take?
If you are taking CPR/AED training, expect the course to last approximately 2 hours. If you are taking the first aid course as well, you should plan on being with us for 3 hours.
If you are taking First Aid only, plan on arriving at class about 1 ½ hours from the official start time for the class.
What certification will I receive?
Everyone who attends the CPR course will receive an American Heart Association “Healthcare Provider” or “Heartsaver” certification in CPR for adults, infants, and pediatrics. If you attend the first aid course, you will receive an American Heart Association “Heartsaver First Aid” certification. These certifications are valid for TWO YEARS
Will I receive my certification card the day of the course?
No. At course completion, you will receive a certification letter from Northeast CPR, stating that you attended and passed an American Heart Association approved course, and that your card is on order from the AHA. You will receive your actual AHA certification card in the mail approximately 14 days after you take the course.

Do I have to register in advance or can I just show up?
You must register in advance for any of our weekend courses. Due to space limitations, we require attendees to reserve a spot in the class with a credit card. We accept all major credit cards, and you can register via our website or by calling us at 1-800-490-9622.
What do I need to bring with me to the class?
Nothing. We will provide everything for you onsite.
I am nervous to give my credit card info out, how do I know you are reputable?
We have been in business since 2002, and have trained over 10,000 people, including many large corporations. Our customer approval rating is 99.1%, and is our top priority. If you call us, expect to speak with a live person immediately. If you happen to reach a voicemail, expect a call back within an hour during normal business hours.
What should I do if I am running late for a class?
If at all possible, call us BEFORE the class begins at 1-800-490-9622 to let us know you are late, and when you expect to arrive. If you call after the class has begun and do not get an answer, you may come to the class up to 10 minutes late. Past that time, we ask that you come back for a different class, as you will have missed too much material.
